Tell me about the TOX and Madspawn.

The Tox is a vicious type of environmental damage peculiar to Dragon Storm. It causes wild and chaotic behavior and Growths.



We show this by adding Warp Features to Characters when they are infected by the Warp. There are cards like “I have the Tox” that give infection rolls. Many of these are truly awesome abilities, but there is a problem. If a creature gains two Warp Features it becomes a Madspawn.



Madspawn like spilling blood and eating victims.


Madspawn like Warp.


Madspawn like Necromancy because it is warped.


Madspawn follow the orders of Necromancers because they use the warp.


Madspawn protect Necromancers.


Jikadell magics are warp based.


Madspawn treat Jikadell magic users like Necromancers.


Hag magics are warp based. (Future GM releases will clarify this)


Madspawn treat Hags like Necromancers.


Dark Walkers and Spirit Judges use some warp based magics. (Future releases)


Madspawn will not attack Dark Walkers or Spirit Judges.



How to distinguish between Natural Features and Warp Features is covered on page 82 of the rules. The basic answer is: It depends on the GM’s designs. Any Feature can be Natural or warped. Only Warp Features are removable.
